“March” Madness Fit Training Blog for Women 40, 50 and Beyond
Did you ever notice people talk frequently about running errands? Well, let’s get all literal…. Do you actually RUN your errands? Probably not. If you did, you’d probably be leaner and a lot lighter. Ha ha!
So, my thoughts are on another literal thought- March Madness. Yes, it’s March, and for sure the basketball madness is in full swing, brackets a bustin!
So, let’s take March madness on another literal path and MARCH your way to the end of the month. You can help banish belly fat by marching in place- in whatever area you happen to be…right …now! It doesn’t take much space, like the 48 inches I talked about last week, to move your body, gather more steps on your fitness tracker and mobilize your metabolism.
The goal is NOT to bust outta your jeans this spring, but to have them feel comfy, or even a bit loose!
Here are a few ideas for you for today and the rest of March, and beyond:
1. STOP your sitting. Interrupting your sedentary activates with a few bursts of marching in place is a great way to boost your body’s calorie burn and improve your cognitive abilities, too.
2. Walk and talk. You spend a fair amount of time on the phone, on conference calls, family and friend convo’s. Why not march in place and maximize the time?
3. Joy is in the movement. Marching in place reminds me of a parade- how about you? Parades are a fun expression of happy times and momentous events. You can have a private parade every day!
