Ways to Save on Health Care - a FitTraining Blog for women 40, 50 and beyond

So, while travelling I noticed this issue of Kiplingers in my hotel room, and the cover page caught my attention.

Of course, being a magazine focused on investments, I guess it was no surprise that some of the suggestions about how to save money on health care focused on ordering your drugs through the mail, splitting pills and getting financial help from special drug programs.

I know that at some point in our lives we may all need these tips on cash discounts and using less expensive surgical facilities, but really? Wouldn't it be cool if Americans would take responsibility for much of their health issues and do something about them, versus shopping for discount care?

Eating right, exercising regularly and putting a health care plan in place (much like your vacation trip plan) would also be a way to "save on health care".
