Pay More for Less - Fit Training Blog for Women 40, 50 and Beyond

Who doesn't love a SALE? We all love to pay less for more, right?

What if I told you when it comes to what happens to your body's health and fitness, you may be paying more for less?

Follow my logic...

When you are younger, you pay your health insurance premiums and probably use very little - maybe well care visits and normal screening checkups, right? That's the time in life that being "healthy and fit" seems like it takes no work or attention on your part- you're lean, light and having a ball. Exercise may consist of weekend sports and your nutrition habits might be more hurried than healthy.

As the years fly by, and without cardiovascular, strength and flexibility exercise and good nutrition, aging takes a tremendous toll on your body and soul. That's when you shift to paying much more for less.

What would you pay for:

- Less fat on your body and a lower number on the scale?

- Less cholesterol, blood pressure or diabetes meds?

- Less stressful days and restless nights?

Your unhealthy habits will catch up with you and potentially increase your investment in getting healthy, vs. staying healthy.

Health care, insurance premiums, medications get pricier, and when it comes to long term care insurance, your current heath may not allow acceptance into a program.

As distressing as these realities are, change is possible if you decide to adopt a healthier, fitter lifestyle.

Making time for fitness can help you get more out of life; investing in proper nutrition and exercise programming that meets your particular needs will deliver an ROI that makes great sense.
