OK, I know, more and more folks have nut allergies so much so that some ball parks are even banning the iconic peanuts and Cracker Jack (any other nut containing foods) since game goers have been lobbying for a nut free zone to enjoy the pastime.

Researchers at Vanderbilt University recently discovered that the humble peanut (with its much lower cost) is just as good for your heart.
Because peanuts are much less expensive than tree nuts, as well as more widely available to people of all races and all socioeconomic backgrounds, increasing peanut consumption may provide a potentially cost-efficient approach to improving cardiovascular health in all populations, study author Xiao-Ou Shu, M.D. Ph.D. said.
Nuts are chock full of healthy fat, fiber, vitamins and polyphenols, which keep inflammation away and your blood vessels flexible, lowering your risk of heart disease.
So, grab that bag of peanuts, but do stay away from the sugary or salty types; and you’ll have a perfect “to go” snack in your nutritional arsenal.
