LOST: Love Handles – Fit Training Blog for Women 40, 50 and Beyond


Do you do this? Stop and read every LOST! sign posted on the telephone pole or bulletin board?

I think we all can relate to the cute little puppy, kitten or cell phone :-) that has been separated from its loving owner.

But, seriously… wouldn’t you just love to lose the love handles? I don’t love mine, and I am guessing I won’t see a poster lamenting the loss of yours, either.

Here are three ways women can lose the handles, pinch less than an inch and dismiss the belly fat bulge.

  • Take measurements.WHAT?Yep, measuring your girth is the start.Know where you want to go and make strides to get there.You might be shocked at the number, so steel yourself.

  • Stop and think.Do I really want/need that cookie?What would my “messy middle” look like with a few less cookies?Don’t forget about your longer term goal in exchange for a taste of that cookie today.

  • Belly dance.Or, walk the stairs, or jog around the neighborhood.You simply cannot escape the realities and benefits of regular physical activity.Thinking too long about moving just makes it harder to do.Get up, right now and dance to your favorite song.Wiggle the middle and you’ll start to see results.
