The end of the first quarter of 2016 is fast approaching.

Is this year turning out the way you have planned? Or, is it simply a New Year with and "old you"?

Is your body "Old"? Normal aging, it turns out isn't "normal" at all, and you can change a lot of what happens, like:

- Maximal heart rate going down, and resting rate and blood pressure going up- It doesn't have to! Get that cardiovascular exercise going!

- Fat mass going up, and lean muscle mass going down- It doesn't have to! Pick up those heavy weights and lift!

- Flexibility loss as well as bone mass decreasing- It doesn't have to! Stretch and strengthen!

- Balance and reaction time slowing way down- It doesn't have to! Do some balance exercises and get involved in activities that keep your mind sharp.

JoAnn is a vital 70 something who lives life to the fullest. She is a widow and was caretaker for both her parents before they passed at 95 and 97. Along the way she realized her health was at risk when we met and began a conservative strengthening and balance program.

Now, she smiles through her days and has rediscovered many of the sports she loved - especially swimming and golf. She's definitely defying her age and defining how it goes.

You can do that too. No need to believe that aging is a process of physical and mental demise. You can be stronger today and even fitter tomorrow.

Why not be able to say... New Year? New Me! Need help? Give me a call.
