My Clients are the best in the world!
They always amaze me with their effort, enthusiasm and energy- and sometimes, frankly…I think they even amaze themselves! How great is that?
For example… my client Betty shared with me just yesterday that she now (after years of not being able to!) can reach her toes to paint her toenails… Just think how liberating and exciting that can be (I know you ladies get this… :-). She hadn’t thought she was ever going to do that again in her life.... Wow.
Her husband wanted to thank me for working with her so their trip to Disney included more walking fun than riding the trams … How great! Her wins? Less weight in her midsection, increased stamina and joy for life!
Another client of mine, Mary, recently flew a small commercial jet to a family vacation, and was ecstatic that she was able to (in her own words) “Cinch the regular seat belt and not have to ask for an extension!” Amazing. Her win, inches lost and confidence gained!
The moral of these stories… fitness is everywhere and fall is the perfect time to (re) commit to your health and physical activity. Ask Betty and Mary, being fitter affects every aspect of their life. What could it do for your life?
Here are a few ways to increase your physical activity right now:
Fall cleaning... make a point of taking the stairs more while cleaning, perhaps dividing up the laundry so you take smaller loads to the basement.
Sit and tidy... sit on the floor and while engaging your abs, turn and pick up the clutter around you, tidying up as you tighten up.
Reach and dust.. Add an extension pole to your duster and reach for those high walls and corners, stretching elongates your torso and feels great.
Even as we age we can ‘rewind’ the years by improving flexibility, strength, balance in addition to managing a bit better what we choose to eat.
