Waiter, I’ll have another! Glass of water that is! - Fit Training Blog for Women 40, 50 and Beyond

Properly hydrating is a struggle for many, me included. Water intake is such an importance part of a healthy body that it’s worth the focus I am calling to it, today.

Here are 5 ways to boost your intake of life affirming H2O:

Fresh Raspberry
  • Instead of drops of flavoring, why not opt for beautiful fruit of the summer season for flavor, watermelon chunks and mint or orange slices are fresh and in season. To amp up the taste even more, let your fruited water sit in the fridge.

  • There’s an APP for that! Really! My fav is waterlogged that calls your attention to your water intake. No interest in an app, a simple alarm that reminds you to sip is super.

  • Filter it. I have had a Britta water pitcher for years, but there are many on the market that can serve the purpose- filtered water tastes better and the pitcher is a great visual reminder.

  • See it, drink it. Keep a water bottle, beautiful goblet or carafe near you all day. If it’s in your view, it will spark your sipping.

Don’t work out without it! You may think those gallon jugs of water are just for uber athletes, not so! In the summer – or anytime a big workout is planned, water is a must have fitness accessory.
