Sound Bite Solutions - Fit Training Blog for Women 40, 50 and Beyond

You have to admit it. We live in a instant results, click here, sound bit society. We have been socialized to expect immediate gratification and that expectation, sadly, spills over to our health and fitness.

You've seen the signs, "Lose 30 pounds in 30 days!" or TV shows that make enormous weight loss look like a 30 minute episode or DVD or equipment ads that imply results for no or almost no effort on your part.

You are smart. You know the drill. You didn't gain the weigh overnight and you won't (safely) lose weight overnight. If you haven't moved in years, a few training sessions in the gym won't buff your body or turn around bad health habits.

Only time, effort and dedication will deliver results. Don't you deserve to spend time on yourself? Maybe you went to college, or grad school or received a specialty certification. Usually you don't simply click a button, send a check or wiggle your nose (for those of you that remember "I Dream of Jeannie" to gain that credential.

Your body is like that. You must earn the right to call yourself "Fit and Healthy". It's a moving target as we age and as unexpected things happen to us like an auto accident or a disease diagnosis. However, everyone, you too! can make great progress and improve your health.

Acknowledging the steps you need to take to get you to the results you want and making choices aligned with those choices is the way to a happy, joyful future filled with fun physical activity that empower you, not sedentary behaviors that drain your life force.

Let go of your hopes that the sound bite solution will deliver the amazing results you want and deserve. Move your unique, beautiful body in ways that make you happy, strengthen your muscles and correct dysfunction and misalignment. You will be truly blessed by your efforts!
