"Yeah? What's Good About It?" - Fit Training Blog for Women 40, 50 and Beyond

I usually find friendly faces in and around the towns where I bike.  I enjoy the early morning stillness of my route, and the friendliness of folks walking to the train, bike riding themselves, or taking Fido out for a walk.

However, this morning offered an interesting exception.  This morning, as I passed a handsome young man on a bike himself, and said with my usual smile, "Good Morning!" his response was one that almost had me hit the brakes- hard.  He said...  "Yeah?  What's good about it?"

After a shocked second of speechlessness (my friends would laugh at that), I craned my neck around and yelled "So much is good that it would take all day to tell you!" So there, grumpy biker...

But, it did get me thinking, and for the rest of my ride I decided to ponder his challenge; here are my top reasons my mornings are great.  I'd love to hear yours!

1.  I am able to exercise, lots of the times outside and set the stage for a healthful day when many of my family and friends are slugging through a commute to get to a job they hate.  I do work that is extremely fulfilling- helping folks get and stay healthy and fit- even in the shadow of some very scary medical diagnoses.

2.  I am healthy and I am grateful.   In a bit over one month I'll turn 60 and I am within a healthy weight, take no medications and can't wait for a new chapter in my life.

3.  You. Yes, you, my readers, clients and social network friends.  You are one of the reasons my mornings are energetic.  I feed off your positivity, your questions, comments and support.  I can't wait to meet other people I can help make important changes in their lives.

So I guess my Morning isn't Good, it's Great!

Tell me what makes your morning and your life great- and if you are struggling with creating a sense of health and fitness in your mornings, I'm only a phone call away.
