"Call Before You Dig!"- Fit Training Blog for Women 40, 50 and Beyond

If you pay any attention to the street pavement, whether while walking, bike riding or driving, you see this abbreviation sprayed on the ground before a major street project.  It's about safety - for the neighbors around and the workers on the job.

 

 

Just the other day, seeing this universal sign during a morning walk reminded me of the throngs of people that start a fitness program without the appropriate knowledge to really do it right.

 

Call! BEFORE you dig... So  you don't end up in an Ace bandage or cast!  Working with an exercise professional certainly does not insure you muscles won't be sore, or you will never get injured, but by golly, I see more folks that jump into programs (can you spell Cross Fit?) or other routines that maybe inappropriate for their fitness or medical level. 

 

Why not get the best out of the effort and energy you are willing
to put into your health and fitness?
