Look Thinner in Photos- Fit Training Blog for Women 40, 50 and Beyond

When posing for your next photograph, try these slenderizing tips:

 

1.  Tongue on the roof of your mouth - it will give you a slight chin lift, making you look slimmer.

 

2.  Extend your face slightly forward to help erase a double chin- even just being aware of the position of your face will help you offer a photo ready stance.

 

 

3. Stand or sit

 

slightly sideways from the camera, with your weight on your back foot.  This position actually shrinks the width of your body so you appear front facing leaner.

 

4.   Position your arms slightly away from your upper body- hand on hip or thigh.  Look at any model or celebrity and you will see the hand on hip trick.  This slight change makes your arms looked more tight and toned.

 

5.  Shoulders back! Imagine a string pulling your head upward. Square off and relax your shoulders.  Improved posture creates a longer,  leaner line.

 

And, don't forget the best tip of all, smile!
