Are You Self Activating? Fit Training Blog for Women 40, 50 and Beyond

Self Activating. 

Such an interesting adjective- do you agree? 

 

At any gathering of adults you are apt to hear folks chatted about their medical maladies, fitness failures and body image discontent, even though they know most of these issues can be greatly remedied by better food choices and physical activity.

 

 

 

Keep in mind the definition of “self activating”-Having the ability to set yourself in motion.  I am all about simple strategies and painting pictures, here’s a favorite:

 

A body at rest stays at rest (we can think of this as Deactivation).
A body in motion stays in motion.

 

In business we all want “self starters” and “go getters” on our team.  These people are self activating; they don’t need any outside force to get them up and going on a task or in their personal life.

 

Sarah Bernhardt said: “Life engenders life.  Energy creates energy.”

 

Where can you place some self activating today?
