Just Push PLAY - Fit Training Blog for Women 40, 50 and Beyond

Here’s a question …. When and why has exercise turned into pain or punishment to you? 

 

Think back to when you were a youngster- what did you love to do after school?  Ride your bike?  Jump rope?  Play pickup basketball?  Hold that thought!

 Thinking of increased physical activity as play vs. punishment is a healthy way to approach your fitness goals.  Moving your body shouldn’t be a hassle, uncomfortable or something you find a reason to skip. 

 

Participating in the right sport, activity or exercise program for you is critical to incorporating health affirming physical activity into your busy life.  When you do, you will find- I can guarantee- that your life will change in a great way.

 

How can you Just Push PLAY in your life?

  • Dig out your favorite 1988 workout video and reacquaint yourself.  Have some fun with Jane Fonda or even (!) Richard Simmons. Need a new, fresh in home work out?  Message me and I’ll help connect you to the right one for you.

  • Reconnect with your inner Olympian.  Were you a high school or college athlete?  Why not reconnect with your sport as an adult, or a senior level team?  Masters swimming clubs, adult volleyball and hockey leagues exist, uncover them.

  • Lose the loser feelings.  OK, you don’t look like a cover model in your swimsuit and your physique might be more Pillsbury than P90X- you can still enjoy the camaraderie and skills building of joining in on fun of group, individual or trainer lead fitness.
